Is yet another feather in the cap of Sahyadri Science College, Shimoga!  Education sans empowerment is of little use.  Realizing the importance of good placement in the student's career, the college has started Career Training and Placement Cell under the Pathways project from the academic year 2007-08.

The cell has a carpet area of 1800 Sq. feet and is designed exclusively to impart quality training to the aspirants to get good placement.  The cell has professionally trained faculty.  It has a professional ambience with the state of the art technology and expertise. Training is imparted to the students in areas like Communication Skills and offers Professional packages like Tally, DTP, Web designing etc. The students can make use of 'flexi-timing' facility and receive training during their leisure hours any time between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. 

The College is planning to enter into tie-up with some reputed training and placement agencies in order to promote better employment opportunities to the  students.  It may be  acknowledged that companies like Wipro, Infosys,  L& T, and Fidelity have been holding placement workshops for the last three years and selected many students.
